We traveled to the Dead to finish our busy trip with a little R&R. The salt sea was an area where battles took place and to the West Israel wandered. Here in the Dead Sea the life giving waters of Galilee and the Jordan are stopped up and go nowhere. It is a symbol of what happens when we do not share the goodness of the LORD and just hold all his bounty to ourselves. When we don’t share our TIME, TALENTS, TREASURES, and the GOSPEL with those around us WE DIE and those around us die as well.
Psalm 116:12-14 “How can I repay the Lord for all his goodness to me? [13] I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord. [14] I will fulfill my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people.” Jesus encourages us with these words, (Matthew 10:7-8) “As you go, preach this message: 'The kingdom of heaven is near.' [8] Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. “
