12-8-2008 In Jerusalem – View of the Temple Mount

The grandeur of the temple is mind boggling. Jesus’ disciples looked down from Mt. of Olives this picture was taken from and said to Jesus, “look at what a magnificent structure this is!!” Jesus said, “Not one stone will be left on another.” Jesus had a grander structure in mind. He said of His body, “Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it again.” He has made a new HOUSE. The HOUSE OF GOD that will exist forever – HIS BODY – THE CHURCH. Hebrews 12:22-24 But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, [23] to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the judge of all men, to the spirits of righteous men made perfect, [24] to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.
