The Jewish people have designated the western wall as sacred ground. It is a symbol to them. They wail because the top of temple mount is occupied by Muslims. They wail because the nation is still at war and not yet restored to the grandeur of David … so they wail for the Messiah to come. They wail because the temple was destroyed because of their rebellion and they long for the 3rd temple period as they call it to begin. To me the wailing wall is a symbol of the need to share the GOOD NEWS about the MESSIAH who has come with the Jewish people. Jesus is the Messiah. Father pour out your Spirit on the Jewish people who don’t yet know you. Open the eyes that are blind to see that you are the fulfillment of all promises. In you we are ONE united nation. In you we have the perfect temple. In you there is perfect peace. Draw the people of your own race back to you Jesus. Have mercy … display your unlimited patience. Breakdown the strongholds of generational sin, and blindness and obstinance about the GOOD NEWS in YOU! FATHER IN THE NAME OF YOUR PRECIOUS SON JESUS WE PRAY AMEN!
